Yes, how could I forget you. Thanks for getting in touch - the day after the party I tried to leave you a message, saying that I was leaving earlier than expected. Alas, you did not get it.

I am in Cali now, which is partly why I've taken so long to respond. After sleeping in a tent in Nick's backyard with a mess of drunkards, I cruised down to Jersey with Benji (actually Ben G, hippie, not sure if you knew him at all) bright and early (ok, so it was 11). We packed up some of my books and records to mail to media-rate to SF, hit the beach, spent the afternoon with my folks, and got a good night's rest before hitting the road westward.

It was a long drive: two and a half days. We stopped both nights and slept for about five hours.
We're staying with a physics major who graduated in '04 and has a house about a mile from the Cal campus. His parents bought the house last year and they are planning a thorough renovation, so I've managed to pick up some work helping out for a couple weeks while I get my thoughts together on this non-profit I'm starting.

NYC. You must be there nearly a week already - where are you living? I'm sure mum is old hat to the hipsters you'll be chillin with, Iceland is probably on the outs altogether. I did pick up my old copy of Homogenic, and while I can't say I love it, I can see the potential at least.

Have you given any thought about what to do post-summer partying?

(That shirt, since you ask, which you did so kindly decorate, is no longer counted among my posessions. But this is hardly your fault. While the reddening did wonders for its character, events later that night brought changes that Brooks Brothers would find unpalatable. If you're carrying two button-down shirts across the country, may as well have decent-looking ones.)

anyway, I lost my cell and just thought I’d say hi so you’d have my contact info. I leave new haven for nyc on wednesday. eek. when do you leave for california?
